So my boyfriend is a high school junior and has, throughout high school, done no clubs, sports, arts groups (band, chorus, theatre, orchestra), or community service. I’m trying to tell him that he needs to do SOMETHING. Leaving that entire section blank on the Common App will not look good at all, and he shouldn’t even be worrying about raising his B average when he has the problem of no activities… at all.

But now he is mad, because he says I’m being critical of him.
